REGISTER An overview and update on the Nuclear Waste Management Organization's efforts to site a deep geological repository for high level nuclear fuel waste. The webinar will update on the NWMO program and activities as the company zeros in on the two municipalities that remain engaged in the NWMO campaign to site a deep geological repository for all of Canada's reactor fuel waste. The focus will be on the NWMO's program and associated developments in Canada's radioactive waste policy, regulation and nuclear expansions. REGISTER Week Two: Wednesday, February 17th @ 7 pm EST REGISTER TARGET: TEESWATER A closer look at the NWMO in southwestern Ontario, where they have optioned 1500 acres of farmland near the community of Teeswater in South Bruce. Know Nuclear Waste is a public interest information project. Led by Northwatch, the project is delivered in collaboration with concerned residents in communities being studied as possible burial sites for high level nuclear waste and with other public and expert organizations.
